TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS
Fleece material: Insulation provided by air
The mission of the fleece component is to trap air thanks to the volume created by its texture (and the brushing of the knit).
This air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm. This component has been laboratory-tested for a comfort temperature from 10 to 13°C without any additional jacket.
Sizing and fit information
fitted cut for complete ease of movement and minimum catching in the wind. Sized to be worn with a light jacket.
Sleeve cuff adjustment
Semi-elasticated cuffs with thumb loop.
Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its RET or total evaporative resistance (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity can escape, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9

Durability warranty of 2 years
We test the ageing of our hiking fleeces to guarantee their durability. We guarantee:
- the abrasion resistance of the backpack and the arms in movement, so that the pilling associated with this material is delayed
- the strength of the seams
- the resistance of the fleece material after 3 washes
- colour-fastness after washing, when exposed to UV or contact with perspiration.

Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie.

Test product
Our Decathlon Sportslab laboratory, based in Lille, also contributes to the innovation and development of our Quechua products. It brings together 4 themes, each with their own area and technological tools: Morphology (particularly thanks to 3D analysis) Science of movement Thermal comfort (with its four environmental chambers) Behavioural and sensory sciences. Our fleeces are all tested on thermal mannequins using a standardised test.

To meet your requirements, Quechua products are tested in the mountains in conditions you will encounter during your hikes. Our teams, as well as a tester panel (made up of partners, ambassadors and customers), test products throughout their development until they go to market.
